All patients over 25 years of age are a possible candidate for hair transplantation surgery. However, if the donor area of their hair at the back of the head will not be enough for surgery or the potential candidate has background diseases (such as pulling hair nervously or complete alopecia of the head) this will prevent candidacy.

2- Will the hair loss be treated by medical treatment or herbal medicines?

The only way for definite treatment of hair loss is surgery. The medical treatments are temporary and make the period of hair loss long, but never result in the prevention of permanent hair loss.

3- Will my friends notice that I’ve had surgery?

Within 10 days nobody will be aware of your surgical procedure.

4- Do I have to rest at home after surgery?

Immediately after surgery you can return to your work and will not need to rest at home.

5- Will my head be dressed after surgery?

No.

6- Will the surgery have any important side effects for me?

The surgery has no important side effects. The only side effects are 48 hours of swelling at the side of forehead and face and a slight numbness at the back of the head for one to five months.

7- Will I feel pain during the surgery?

There will be no pain during the surgery or even at the time of administering the local anesthesia.

8- Will I have to be put to sleep for the surgery?

No. The surgery will be done as local anesthesia. During the surgery you can watch TV, listen to music or read a book.

9- When will my hair grow after the surgery?

Three to four months after transplantation, the follicles of transplanted hair will begin to grow.

10- In case the donor area of hair at the back of my head will not be enough what I should do?

In case you will not be a candidate for surgery you can be a candidate for hair restoration without surgery.

11- If you take the hair from the donor area of my head, will the place be left empty or will the hair grow back?

Immediately after the surgery, even the smartest eyes will not be able to realize the surgery. The hair will re-grow completely and the incision line will be hidden.

12- For example, in case I would need three sessions, how much time should pass between the sessions?

Six months.

13- Will I have a normal appearance with surgery or non-surgery methods?

Your appearance will be very natural and the smartest eyes will not realize your surgery.

14- Will the transplanted hairs be lost after growing?

The transplanted hair will not be lost after growing and will remain up to the end of your life.

15- By taking into account that I am a woman, will my hair become short at the time of surgery?

No, your hair will not be trimmed and nobody will realize the surgery on your head immediately after surgery.

16- Will I have to use medicine for a long time after surgery?

No. With the exception of rare cases, after 10 days you will not have to use any medicine.

17- In case I pull off my hair nervously and I have become bald now, may I be a candidate of surgery?

At first you should be treated by a psychiatrist and after treatment you can take measures for the treatment of your baldness.

18- After one period of chemotherapy and radiology I have faced hair loss. When should I consider hair transplant surgery?

You have to wait at least one year after the discontinuation of your treatment and the growth of your previous hairs for the probable treatment of your baldness.

19- In case I have faced hereditary baldness or due to nerve diseases when there is no hair on my head, may I refer for surgery?

You are never a candidate for surgery.
